Mackerel is packed with vitamin B-12, surpassing the recommended daily allowance. It also provides niacin, iron, vitamin B6, riboflavin, magnesium, phosphorus, folate, and selenium. Its taste is mildly salty and sweet, described as oily and slightly fishy due to its rich Omega-3 fatty acid content. The fish has a sticky and firm flesh that is tender and fresh when grilled. It can be enjoyed simply with oil, salt, and lemon or used in more complex recipes, similar to salmon.
To freeze; place the fish straight in the freezer upon delivery and aim to consume within 3 months.
